Additions:
2 lbs ground beef
1 can (8oz) tomato sauce
2 cups water
Directions:

Brown ground beef.

Add contents of large spice packet, tomato sauce and water to ground beef.

Add from salt packet and cayenne packet to taste.

Simmer 15 minutes stirring occasionally.

For thicker chili, mix masa packet with 1/3 cup water and stir in simmering additional 5 minutes.
Try your own thing – this is a great base for your own creation – try adding in onions, peppers, beans, etc.
Ingredients: Corn masa flour, chili peppers, garlic powder, cumin, oregano, onion, paprika, salt, cayenne pepper.

It seems like everybody and their brother has a chili recipe these days. This particular brand is a staple in most Texas stores and we usually have one in the pantry; it’s a very good, solid chili mix that consistently turns out a flavorful chili without any fuss.

Until recently, we were able to purchase this kit at our grocery store. When we found Soupsonline.com we were happy to see that they carry this particular brand of chili. The picture and the description on the web page indicates ‘4 individual seasoning packets.’ We’ve always purchased this 4 packet kit as it lets us eliminate the salt from the recipe due the need for a low sodium diet because my husband has Meniere’s Disease. The actual product that arrived unfortunately is not what we had ordered. We received the kit with 3 packets which has the salt mixed in and are therefore unable to enjoy this product. Because food items are not returnable, we’re stuck with 6 boxes that we cannot enjoy..
